Steps-to-Take:
1. Enter a Blackboard Collaborate session as a moderator. Note, there are three roles for attendees of a Collaborate session:
• Participant – Basic permissions, such as viewing other attendees and using the chat tool
• Presenter – Advanced permissions, such as all above plus screen sharing and content uploading
• Moderator – Administrator permissions, such as all above plus session recording and adding/removing attendees
2. Select the black sandwich tab in the top left of the screen
3. Select Start Recording
Note:
Recording will begin instantly. Only the presentation area of the Collaborate room will be recorded. This includes shared screens, or video feed of the person speaking if no screen is being shared. If no screens are being shared and no video feeds are active, then Collaborate will record the session audio and present the welcome screen. You can stop recording sessions by selecting Stop Recording in the same place you found Start Recording, or by ending the session for all attendees. Recordings are usually available several minutes after the session ends, but this depends on the length of the recorded session.
