Purpose
The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on how to delete an email in Outlook using either the web version (OWA) or the desktop application.
Process
OWA
- Open Outlook through the web (OWA)
- Highlight or select the email you want to delete.
- Click the Delete icon (trash can) or press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Outlook Desktop Application
- Open Outlook through the desktop application.

- Highlight or select the email you want to delete.
- Click the Delete icon (trash can) or press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Notes:
- When you delete an email, it is moved to your Deleted Items folder.

Emails removed from the Deleted Items folder are permanently deleted.

In some cases, a permanently deleted email may still be recoverable from the server.
