Steps-to-Take:
Logging in:
- Go to blackboard.cwi.edu in either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- Username: firstnamelastname@my.cwi.edu
- Password: Your initials capitalized, the word logon (all lowercase) and the last four digits of your social security number (or your Student ID if your social is not on file).
Example:
Student: John Smith SSN: 123-45-6789
Username: johnsmith@my.cwi.edu
Password: JSlogon6789
In Your Class
Once you have selected a class, you will be automatically directed to the main page of that class (as determined by the instructor. This is typically the Announcements section. On the left, you will find the buttons that allow you to navigate to different sections of the course. Be aware that not every class is structured the same, and that many instructors have unique navigation. Your instructor can answer any questions you may have about accessing materials.
Student Resources
The Student Resource tab is divided into multiple categories covering a variety of resources for students for example class registration, the library, disability services, technical help etc. This area helps students navigate their resources efficiently without having to look for the links on the main CWI homepage.
