Steps-to-Take:
If you’re having issues viewing the PDF in your browser, you’ll want to download the PDF to your computer. If you’re trying to download a PDF off of MyCwi, you’ll want to click the three dots ‘…’ (In Firefox. Chrome has three vertical dots) then click the three dots ‘…’ again and select Download a copy.
A more permanent way to fix this issue would be to adjust the browser settings to download the PDF instead of opening in the browser viewer, there are instructions for how to do this in Chrome and FireFox below. Unfortunately, IE and Edge browsers do not have a way to override this feature, so you will have to download the PDF you are attempting to view. Note; if these steps are followed, you will need to install a standalone PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
Chrome:
1. Open the menu and select Settings.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced.
3. Under Privacy and security click on Site Settings.
4. Click on PDF documents.
5. Turn the ‘Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome’ option ON.
FireFox:
1. Open the FireFox menu and click Options.
2. Scroll down to Applications. Next to Portable Document Format (PDF) choose to Save the file.
