Purpose:
This article outlines how to connect to the CWI-PUBLIC WiFi network and change its settings to a private network on Windows, along with additional troubleshooting tips for resolving common connectivity issues.
Steps-to-Take:
- Click on the Wifi icon in the bottom left-hand corner to open the available networks.

- Find the CWI-PUBLIC network and connect to it.
- After connecting, “Properties” will show up for the CWI-Public network, Click it.
- On Windows 11, the "Properties" will look like an "i" enclosed in a circle:

- Set the network from a Public Network to a Private Network


NOTE:
- Although the steps above will usually fix most access issues while using the CWI-Public WiFi, there are other potential issues. Below is a list of possible solutions:
- Expired Anti Virus: Try to disable or remove the program.
- Static DNS IP on NIC config: Google, "Check network card configuration".
- Flush DNS: Google, look up “Steps to Flush DNS”
- Browser Set to Proxy: Google, look up “remove proxy from browser”
- Clear Cache & Cookies: With a Web Page open, Hit "Ctrl + Shift + Delete", Select "All Time" for time range, than "Clear Data"
- NOTE: This will log you out of all your accounts your normally automatically signed into
